As an international Exhibition and Conference Organizer that enables business relationships worldwide, data and information are part and parcel of our day-to-day business. We are committed to handling the personal information of all those we as a company engage with, including customers, suppliers, colleagues or any other community we are dealing with, responsibly and in a way that meets the legal requirements defined by the Thai Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We are aware of the importance to our clients of receiving clear, transparent information regarding how we use the information they provide us with.

We collect, store and use your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In this Statement, we would like to inform you which data we process for which purposes and which rights you have.

Registering to attend a Fair, exhibition, conference or activity organized by DLG Thai as a professional visitor or member of the public
Participating in a fair or event as an Exhibitor
Sending newsletters and marketing messages by email or equivalent means
Showing personalized advertising in the online environment
Participation in buyer programs and B2B matchmaking programs
Sale of tickets to the public (internal and third-party events)
Contacting of potential new exhibitors and visitors
Recording of events, trade fairs and activities
Video recording of interviews and events
Business relationships with suppliers
Bidding / Tendering processes with third party service providers

5. To whom are such data provided?

Any information you provide us with by entering it on these websites will be stored on a server located in a country of the European Union (“EU”) or outside the EU and passed on to the competent bodies within DLG Thai and its associated companies/organisations www.dlg.org/gruppe both in Germany and abroad to deal with your queries and requests. Any transfer to third parties will take place only within the scope of statutory obligations or to our service providers in connection with contract processing (Art. 4 no. 9 GDPR).

Transfer to companies/organisations of the DLG in non EU-countries will take place only after a level of protection corresponding to that of the EU has been ensured. In order to ensure this level of protection, we use the EU standard contract clauses.

We use your data for sending you the DLG-NEWSLETTERS you have ordered, to carry out/organise/manage the NEWSLETTERS (Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit b) GDPR) or to send infor-mation and advertising mailings of DLG or invitations to DLG events (“legitimate commercial interest” as an enterprise advertising its services, Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit f) GDPR).

6. Liability for links

Our offering contains links to external websites of third parties the contents of which we have no influence on. Therefore, we cannot assume any responsibility for these third-party contents. Responsibility for the contents lies with the respective provider or operator of such websites. At the time the links were established, the linked websites were checked for possible breaches of the law. No unlawful contents were evident at the time the links were placed.

This is where we categorise your data according to the information you have provided for the purpose of automatic classification according to your interests/needs (automatic decision-making). We use your data for sending you the DLG-NEWSLETTERS you have ordered, to carry out/organise/manage the NEWSLETTERS (Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit b) GDPR) or to send infor-mation and advertising mailings of DLG or invitations to DLG events (“legitimate commercial in-terest” as an enterprise advertising its services, Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit f) GDPR). According to the DLG erasure guidelines, your data will be stored only as long as necessary for the purpose of storage.

You have the right to request erasure, rectification or restriction of the processing of your data. If you wish, you will be informed about the content and scope of your data we have stored. In addition, you are entitled get back your personal data or to have them transmitted by DLG Thai in a suitable format. You may object to the storage and processing of your data and an automatic decision in individual cases with effect for the future at any time. This also applies if you have given us your consent to use your data (Art. 6 paragraph 1 lit. a). Such objection may be sent informally by post or by e-mail without having specific reasons. Moreover, you are entitled to file a complaint with the Supervisory Data Protection Agency.
